Carving Out S.P.A.C.E for Creative Ceremony
For The Worldbuilders Ep. 087

Dear Worldbuilder,
This podcast episode is about integration. How do we go forward with all the colonial code, bumping up against the remembrance of our ancestral code? How do we work with all the concrete and the care? The cop in our head and the kid in our heart? How do we invite our fear and our spirit to the table? How might we act as the compassionate mediator? How might that compassionate mediation facilitate a practice of making art? My intention behind recording this episode is to wade inside of some of these questions with you.

If you’re new to the podcast you might be like what’s “Erotic Engineering”? I introduce it in previous episodes but…
I had to invent the phrase “erotic engineer” to sharpen the specificity of who I was talking to because corporations started using the word “worldbuilder” and I noticed capitalism co-opting language from abolitionist artists (as it does) so to clarify: Erotic engineers build worlds informed by a black feminist politic and black woman’s literature. This distinction feels important because I believe, if our language is not informed by an irresistible politic then its baseless, but that’s just me and maybe that’s you too? If so, join us inside. 👇🏾
The Laboratory of Erotic Engineering
A writing group for erotic engineers with monthly workshops and open studios. This month we’re running experiments on writing offerings from our shadow, next month we’ll experiment alongside black feminist theory, worldbuilding and literature to return to our bodies as our home, our inner world, our landscape of internal validation (as opposed to external validation), our site of inner satisfaction from which the value of our creative work is never in question, just like our breath, it just is.
1:1 Erotic Engineering
Over the course of four 1:1 sessions we’ll work together on establishing your creative ceremony as a daily S.P.A.C.E practice (listen to the episode to learn more about the acronym) and/or developing an income generating offer from the overflow of your creative ceremony. We can also use this container to create an erotic exodus strategy away from work that feels misaligned with your values and desires. I left my job in 2020, I’m here to tell you it wasn’t easy but it was possible. Let’s strategize the how together. If you want to work on any of the above together inside this container, book a free Desire Discovery Call.
P.S. Share this flyer with a loved one you want to join you in engineering the erotic 💌
